                                     Good Campaign Karma

This page is to honor all of the kind, generous volunteers and others who have given in any way to support the movement for a cleaner, healthier planet and society, as well as the many surprising developments that I can only describe as "Good Karma." I am grateful to Sharon Sneddon who found our amazing treasurer, Rubie Johnson; Diana LeRoss who stepped up to write and mail colorful postcards on our behalf for the Primary; Dennis and Lorna Lowenthal whose support from the start, including their Edmonds Climate Connection website, has been a huge help; Rich Moralez who left us far too soon but brought so much joy to those who knew him; Bret Ciafalo for his selfless acts to help our campaign; Rubie Johnson, my incredibly capable treasurer; Ed ("Saint Edward") who has come to my rescue more than once; Angie Homola, my Vermont Law School pal who paved the way to our success on Camano Island and with Island County democrats; Carmen Rumbaut, all-around champion for good energy and healthy climate campaigns; Marjie Fields, amazingly generous leader on important local issues; Denise Miller and all of her ENAC allies; Snohomish County Indivisible for their kind outpouring of support; SnoCo Young Democrats for their endorsement; Kristina Melnichenko for reaching out to help educate the SnoPUD voting public about why Mary Rollins and I were in this race; all of the new friends in Island County and Camano Island Democrats' groups who welcomed me and helped with our outreach in their communities; the "DieHards" who understand the issues related to the aging nuclear energy facility at Hanford; Karen Guzak of Snohomish who hosted two events to support our campaign, my children who helped launch our campaign and kept cheering me on; my personal assistant and love, Mike; the volunteers who invited me to present the Sierra Club film, "Reinventing Power;" all of the organizations that endorsed our campaign and worked to help us win:  Washington Conservation Voters, Sierra Club, Democratic LDs:  1st, 21st, 32nd, and SnoCo. Dems; the many people who have stopped me on the street to say, "Thank you for running; I voted for you!"  My gratitude extends to every person who has shown support with a financial donation, regardless of the amount; to all those who have helped put my yard signs out in Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Everett, Bothell, Mountlake Terrace, and Camano Island; the Westerfields who guided me to my B&B on Camano Island when I could not find the address; to Mike and Marylou Eckart and my other 32nd LD volunteers for helping with doorbelling and sign-waving and so many more whose names will come to mind after I write this.
